Things to do in South London: Attractions South of the River

Say the word ‘Camberwell’ to any black cab driver in London, and prepare for the blank expression, followed by the “Don’t go there mate”.The same also applies to any number of other such places south of the river. Within a couple of miles of the Thames; Forest Hill, Brockley, New Cross, Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth, Crystal Palace, and numerous others all draw the same response. You would think you were asking them to take you to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. But it should be this way. There are some fantastic things to do in South London, and here we name a few.
