Tea House Theatre: Relaxing Tea with Tradditional Entertainment

The Tea House Theatre is tucked away behind the rail arches in Vauxhall and used to be an old Victorian Public House that originally opened in 1886. Offering loose leaf tea, lovely sandwiches and homemade cakes, this venue is a great place to unwind, meet a friend or colleague, or simply sit and read peacefully. This is a relaxed and homely atmosphere that prides itself of tradition, creative décor, value for money and an ultra friendly non-rushed service.

Best known for their breakfast including Full English, Eggs Benedict, Half Nelson, Scottish Breakfast, and Smoked Salmon Scramble, other highlights of the Tea House include homemade marmalade and a selection of jams, and they prefer to use fresh meat from the local butcher, and vegetables from nearby gardens. Lunch is equally traditional with a Ploughmans (for two), Welsh Roast Rarebit, and Pork Belly or Roast Beef double decker sandwiches.

All are welcomed and this is a kid-friendly cafe which provides high chairs for children along with a chest of toys to keep them entertained. Other facilities include free wi-fi and daily papers for customers to read.

Numerous events are held throughout the week making this a interesting place to enjoy comedy, music, film, knitting, chess, and of course – as the name suggest – theatrical shows. The venue can also be booked for weddings and functions, and the space can be hired and used as a small theatre for music, poetry, film, dance and many other artists events.

If you’re looking for classic afternoon tea, some top entertainment, or somewhere to host an event, drop by The Tea House Theatre.
