Ping Pong Shepherds Bush – Bite-sized Fun

Kelly Brook small2

Ping Pong’s award winning contemporary group of restaurants has launched their latest instalment in the busy shopping district of Westfield’s Shepherds Bush.

The star-studded event presented a visual spectacular of Chinese ribbon dancers, cocktails on tap, hands-on dim sum classes and music by Chiltern Firehouse’s in-house DJ Malik Alary. To play host to the evenings event was glamorous television personality and model Kelly Brook, establishing this location as an enjoyable, fun and lively restaurant and bar.

Founded in 2005, Ping Pong’s simple but carefully crafted menu has perfected the art of dim sum, artisanal cocktails and Chinese teas; the type of food aimed at sharing between family and friends. Perfect little bite size parcels, soups and salads, char sui buns and much desired goyza can be enjoyed with cutlery-free ease, and washed down with an extensive range of beer, wine and sake.

Mixologist Daniele Ziaco, formally from Hakkasan and Marco Pierre White restaurants, is at the helm of Ping Pong’s experimental cocktails and hybrid teas with top of the list concoctions such as the Panda Mule – an Asian twist on the classic with ginger, lime, vodka, sake, ginger beer and served with a pandan waffle – vibrant in colour and taste. Or to please classic drinkers, a stylish enhancement on a much-adored aperitif – the Smoked Ya Negroni – mixed to perfection and poured over a sphere of smoked ice.

Ping Pong’s brand of dining offers a varied and attractive atmosphere, whether a hassle free family excursion, a romantic boozy night of mouth-popping crispy prawn balls, or a warm-up of cocktails and snacks before heading into the zone of clubland. Size matters, and in this case all good things are small.

There are currently 8 locations across London including: Westfield Stratford, Wembley, Soho, Market Place, Southbank, St Katharine docks, St Pauls and more. www.pingpongdimsum.com
