Parliament Hill

At 322ft above sea level and across 790 acres, Parliament Hill is one of the best view points and beauty spots in London. It’s breathtaking panoramic vista can be enjoyed through all the seasons and at all times of day or night. Whether you’re alone, looking for a peaceful spot to sit and read, with a lover looking for a quiet spot to whisper sweet nothings, or leading your family up the hill for a picnic, it will always be a place you fondly remember.

There are many famous sites which can be spotted from the peak – St. Paul’s Cathedral, Houses of Parliament, Crystal Palace – just to name a few. It’s also one of the best spots to watch the fireworks on bonfire night and New Years Eve. It’s even the site where Guy Fawkes and Robert Catesby hoped to watch their infamous destruction of the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

At Parliament Hill you can discover a multitude of attractions, from tranquil swimming ponds, to fun playgrounds, a lido, tennis courts, athletics fields, and some very friendly and very hungry wildlife. The heath is a fantastic place to come to feed water fowl, and can be a truly rewarding and peaceful pastime.

During the summer when the sun is out, people flock to the heath for a jog, walk, or a game of frisbee, football or rounders, while others enjoy a picnic feast.  The steady winds make it a fantastic place to fly kites and on sunny days you’ll see a vast array of them ducking and diving on the hilltop.

Overall it’s a small spot of London where you can stand back in quiet relaxation as you watch the Big Smoke grinding away from a comfortable distance.
