The summer’s dwindling, which means it’s time to cash in on the sunny rooftop bars in London, pronto. Here at DesignMyNight  we’ve searched high and low to bring you the best of the damn lot.

Golden Bee – Shoreditch

The Golden Bee is a stylish rooftop bar located in the heart of East London’s Shoreditch area. Though it’s located above a strip bar (yep, a strip bar!) – there’s nothing gritty about this plush roof terrace. Equipped for all types of weather, they’re renowned for their stylish crowd, cool-kid DJs and badass cocktails. Not forgetting their fire pit of course; no chance of getting chilly at this alfresco drinking spot. Oh no no.

With a vantage point overlooking the iconic Trafalgar Square, Vista is all about champagne fuelled indulgence. Sitting atop the luxurious Trafalgar Hotel, you can expect top notch drinks, and top notch service at this suntrap rooftop bar in Central London. If you’re looking to treat yourself or someone special, this is a great wow-factor bar that’ll definitely do the trick.

Upper West  Chelsea

Live music, art installations from the freshest urban art talent and great cocktails await any guest at Upper West. This NYC rooftop bar oozes class, but still keeps its edge. The roof terrace is secluded from the hustle bustle of the King’s Road, leaving you to sit back, relax and enjoy the sumptuous cocktails on offer. Just to affirm this Chelsea haunt’s glam status, it’s also home to a former piano of pop superstar and all round glam-king, Sir Elton John. Serious stuff.

Boundary Rooftop Bar – Shoreditch

Boundary Rooftop Bar is another great roof terrace venue located on top of a decadent London hotel. Located slightly off the beaten track on a non-descript Shoreditch backstreet, Boundary’s rooftop is littered with comfy wicker seating, fire-heaters and plenty of blankets. The gentleman’s choice, this East London sky-high fun hub boasts table service, a delectable offering of food and wine, and even some fancy pants cigars if you come over a bit Mad Men.

Coppa – Broadway Market

Chilled out and fun, Coppa is a new addition to the London rooftop club, only opening in summer 2013. Though the BBQ, beach huts and boho vibes make this little Broadway Market number considerably less swanky than its counterparts, there’s no doubt it’s up there with the coolest. Grab a deckchair and sup on some delicious cocktails at this East London gem, whilst the sun lasts. You most definitely won’t regret it.
